Motorhouse 2000 Ltd
Motorhouse 2000 Ltd
Motorhouse 2000 Ltd could be considered the first of the 'Car Supermarket' retailers in the UK, the site in Cannock, Staffs is where the first ever Car supermarket opened, back then as The Motorhouse of Cannock.

The website replaced their existing website which was in need of an overhaul. The old used car system was poor in search engine spidering, resulting in poor rankings in the search engine. It was also badly designed as a used car search due to the fact there was no way to narrow down searche results, ending up in people having to go through page after page of the most common cars to find ones they were interested in.

The eCarsUK search system on their new site enables fast and easy refinement of the search results allowing visitors to pin point the exact car they are after.

The news pages are maintained by UK Websystems, so there is no extra overhead for these. The used car stock list is pulled in from their Dealer Management system 6 times every day and the photos are processed 3 times a day. As with all eCarsUK websites, it is completely spiderable by search engines thanks to its careful design.

Trinity Motors
Trinity Motors
Trinity motors are a multi franchise dealer group located in Hinkley, Leicestershire. Their previous website had lasted a few years and was showing its age. The used car system on the site was also badly concieved and didn't offer a visitor a positive experience at all.

Trinity Motors are the first UK Websystems client to use our new eCarsUK platform. Specifically designed with motor traders in mind, this new product allows us to offer motor traders sites with news articles, information on current manufacturer ranges and a powerful used car search system all in one solution. The news and manufacturer detail pages are maintained by UK Websystems, so there is no extra overhead for these.

The used car stock list is pulled in from Autolocate every day and all Trinity need to do is email the photos to a specific email address and the eCarsUK system does the rest. It is also completely spiderable by search engines thanks to its design.

Walsall Training
Walsall Training
Walsall Training are a small company based, not surprisingly, in Walsall who specialise in training courses for the Gas, Water and Plumbing industries. They wanted a new website to replace their existing and dated site with one that was fresher, modern and most importantly, updatable by themselves.

As all UK Websystems solutions enable clients to update the content of their websites by themselves, we were a natural choice to produce a website for them.

Tank Depot
Tank Depot
When oil tank supplier, The Derwent Group, wanted to venture into the world of online sales, UK Websystems' award winning eCommerce solution was selected. The site features our standard eCommerce solution, which integretes into Protx to provide real-time credit card processing facilities and our own PDF engine which results in the customers reciving high quality PDF order confirmations and Invoices automatically by email.

The online shop is maintained entirely by Derwent, they have full control over adding new products or making changes to existing products online via the specically written administration website.

Also available are a multitude of administration reports to allow them to view orders and product page view counts so that they can monitor, in detail the traffic going through their shop.

All of this is standard with the UK Websystems eCommerce Solution.

Added onto that, the website has its own News story adminsitration system, allowing them to add new news items at any time which automatically maintains the RSS feed for the news articles from the website.

SteveAndKerrie.co.uk SteveAndKerrie.co.uk
This is a personal website for myself and my wife, to celebrate our wedding. It was designed between us and produced, again using our standard framework. The theme of the wedding was a formal, black cocktail dress and suit dinner party and this was refelected in the design of the website.

XPart Accessories
XPart Accessories
XPart is part of the multinational, blue chip company, Caterpillar Inc.. XPart sell parts and accessories for MG and Rover cars, along with a growing 'All Makes' brand of accessories. Their website is multifaced and the largest website project undertaken by UK Websystems to date. Currently phase one is live, which is the Dealer Extranet. The dealers can login and view communications and other dealer-only material online and download it to their computer. This will soon be expanded to offer a dealer locator service in additional to an online shop, selling Accessories for MG and Rover vehicles, along with selected All Makes products. The administration website for this project was completely re-written to support multiple user accounts, along with a full user permissions system. This allows XPart to create new user accounts and limit what those users can view, edit and delete within the administration website.

In addition, the website supports multiple languages, both on the dealer website (as dealers are spread throughout Europe) and within the forthcomming online shop. The online shop is undergoing heavy revision and updates both on the public side and the administration side, mainly due to the features required for the shop and also to intergrete changes in eCommerce technology and practices over the past year. This online shop will become UK Websystems' flagship eCommerce solution to be rolled out in 2006.

Eyecandy Shop Eyecandy Shop
To replace to their existing site, Berkshire based Eyecandyshop limited selected UK Websystems to develop a completely new website allowing them to offer their 'Create Your Own service' completely online for the first time. Eyecandyshop, via its website sells high quality photograph prints, printed onto Canvas, Perspex or Framed photographic paper. We've seen the products they sell and its simply stunning, photos of them simply don't do them justice. The website is powered by a sophisticated online shop, written in PHP, together with mySQL handling the database back end. All the preview images of the canvases, perspex frames and framed prints were all generated by UK Websystems' graphic designers using advanced Photoshop techniques. These procedures have been automated meaning that the task of generating a set of 3 preview images (left, centre and right) takes about 5 minutes, instead of 30mins it previously took.

Canvas Club CANVAS CLUB @ ID-WALL
ID-WALL specialise in digital printing of wallpaper, a fantastic service that will convert any digital photo into rolls of wallpaper for that unique effect! However, this was for their new franchises for canvas prints. Using the same design as the Eyecandy Gallery site, it was expanded to allow for multiple galleries and a number of modifications to allow for fitting around how ID-WALL operate. In addition, the online shop was tied into Barclaycard's ePDQ system to allow completley automatic credit card payments.

Plates Tomorrow Plates Tomorrow
Local number plate company Plates Tomorrow approached UK Websystems for a website to combine their successfull eBay business with a ecommerce site to sell outside of eBay. The site includes a comprehensive plate designer, built in CSS and Javascript and powered by a mySQL database. The admin website allows them to add new backgrounds, flags, fonts and of course, manage all their orders as they come in, via the site or via eBay. UK Websystems developed a number of technologies just for this site, firstly any orders from ebay are automatically picked up by the website & the information saved on the website. The customer is then emailed and asked to complete checkout through their online shop. This forces all orders, ebay or via their website to go through the same checkout process and makes the management of orders far easier. In addition, a Windows utility program was written to help in the generation of the font graphic files used by the plate designer on the website. This makes adding new fonts a 5 minute job, as opposed to the 3 hour job it previously was.

MB Nottingham MB Nottingham
MB Nottingham approached UK Websystems for a website for their new independent Mercedes servicing business based in Nottingham. Realising the importance of a internet website to the promotion and awareness of their new company, they opted for a basic website to start off with, an informational site for detailing their service costs & location. Plans are currently underway for a revamp and a much more customer interactive experience.

Business Car Solutions Business Car Solutions
Business car solutions is a new website for a new company specialising in the fleet and car hire market. They wanted an online presence to inform customers who see their advertising in the papers & magazines and also to attract people via search engines. The website was designed & implemented, as with all UK Websystems websites, using the UK Websystems content management system, allowing the client to update their website 24/7 at any time, any where. (As long as they have access to the Internet!)

Shaggaholic.co.uk
Shaggaholic.co.uk
Nope, its not UK Websystems' first Adult site, its a small website for someone who currently runs a shop on ebay. They wanted a simple site just for email and to act as a draw via the search engines. Future plans involve the addition of an online shop.

Norfolk Scooter Works
Norfolk Scooter Works
Norfolk scooter works chose UK Websystems for the website for their new company. They sell a whole range of products for vintage scooters such as Lambretta and Vespa. The work involved setting up their online shop & accompanying website, with the website design focused around a retro theme. We also imported a stocklist from a Microsoft Access database into the online shop of over 3,000 products.

Castle Homes Midlands
Castle Homes Midlands
Castle Homes were a start up company in Jan 2004, from going from a handful of properties early on to their current list of over 50. This however did expose a weakness in their first website, as it wasn't powered by a database, so all the houses had to be edited on one large page. Not a problem with the in-built website admin tools provided by UK Websystems, it was time consuming however. Their new website now means that the Girls have more time to be selling houses and giving valuations as its completely database powered. The website has a completely new back-end (the technology that runs the website behind-the-scenes) which allows them to update their propertly lists online at any time. If they want to add a new property at 2am, they can do just that.

We also added a very powerful, yet easy to use search facility based around our postcode distance technology. As each prooperty has a postcode entered against it, the visitor to the website can search for properties within a selectable radius of a town. The website uses the postcode of the town & the postcode of the property to calculate the distance between the two. Sounds complicated! But with the Technology developed by UK Websystems, its super quick and searches are typically returned in a matter of milliseconds.

The technology developed for the new Castle Homes website is already attracting interest from other estate and letting agencies, such is its power, flexibility and ease of use.

EyeCandyGallery.Com
The Eyecandy Gallery is a sister company of our of our existing clients, eyecandyshop. The gallery is a joint collaboration with the World renowned photographic agency, REX Features. They offer collections of limited edition canvas prints from the immense archives of REX Features. Launched in December 2004 with the 'Best Of British' collection at a packed Exposure Gallery in London's west end, the website was designed to be reminiscent of an art gallery where people can walk around and have a look at the pictures on the wall.

Our designers took this concept and converted into a striking website design. The website uses the UK Websystems bespoke eCommerce solution, debuted with The Very Nice Company's recent website upgrade. Thanks to the design methods used in the software's construction, to convert it from The Very Nice website's structure to the Eye Candy Design took less than two weeks and that includes uploading all the images!

EyeCandyGallery director Mark Blackburn was overjoyed, "Its everything I envisaged, the website really manages to convey the product in the best possible way online. Visitors to the website can really see connect with the product and the 3D design used helps to give the canvases depth. Its very hard to get the ‘wow’ factor from a canvas online as opposed to if the canvas was hanging on the wall in front of you, however that’s precisely what we’ve achieved with this website".

Taken WithOut Consent (TWOC)
Twoc.co.uk is a website aimed at combating the sale of stolen cars by encouraging people to report thier car's details with the website should it be stolen. They want to try to give the general public another way to check if that vehicle they wish to purchase, is a stolen one or not. Its another check, another way to stop you making a very costly mistake. In the eyes of the law, if you purchase a stolen vehicle, there is very little that can be done for you in financial consideration.

The website was created from the ground up to replace their existing website and features a fully database backed website with searchable list of reported thefts, news letter generation and automatic updates by email for registered members. It also includes a fully featured administration website for the website operators to maintain the database of stolen vehicles, create new newsletters, update user information, add new news stories and update any content on the pages within the website. The aim, as with all the websites we produce, is to empower the operator with the tools to make updating their website as easy and straightforward as possible.

Unit 6 Skate Park
Unit 6 is a skatepark in Wellington, somerset, the website includes the standard UK Websystems Content Management system and also a gallery enabling people to have a look at what goes on at the skatepark and also allows them to check it out before they visit.

Jap Imports
Based on the Devon / Cornwall borders JapImports specialise in the importing of performance cars from auctions in Japan. Needless to say, the cars they have in stock are exotic, powerful and suprising value for money. Using a slightly modified version of the used car database (it needed to cope with larger descriptions, complete with an HTML editor to edit those descriptions) it provides JapImports with a much enhanced platform to market their cars.

County Garage 2000 Ltd
An all new site for County was launched in December 2003, replacing their previous site which they acknowledged wasn't a fair representation of their business online. The all new County Garage site utilises the latest version of the used car database created by UK Websystems. Used in line with the local promotion and advertising, the new website is providing County Garage with a representation of their current used car stock that is second to none. The content on the site is all updatable through the UKWS Content Management System and the stock list can be maintained in minutes using the powerful used car database administration function, both of which are entirley web based and as such can be updated 24/7 from anywhere with Internet Access!

MGs On Track
A basic website for a group of MG enthusiasts who are promoting track days amongst MG and Rover owners. This site is one of the more simple options using only our powerful content management system allowing the customer to add and amend the website themselves. Whilst being a 'basic' option, this site is still very powerful and retains value for money compared to 'value for money static' sites other vendors offer while charging for every change you want to make.

MG-Rover.org
Setup in 2001 by our Managing Director, MG-Rover.org is the largest website for MG and Rover owners and enthusiasts on the Internet. With consistantly over 1.5 million page hits per month, the site is our busiest client. The website was developed using a forerunner of our content management system, combined with the powerful VBulletin forum software and an equally powerful online shop package.
