With two previous projects under our belts with Eyecandy, the Berkshire based company turned again to UK Websystems for their next online project. The new platform was designed by UK Websystems to build upon the  foundations of the previous Eyecandy shop site, but they would add even more automation and technology that recent upgrades to the servers would allow.

Two new key features were cornerstones of the new platform. The first was a built in image editor, which allows customers to rotate, crop or zoom in on the photo they upload in order to frame the ideal print., all in real-time. The second key feature was built around the Multi-shop function in the eShopsUK platform and allowed them to offer white label 'copies' of their 'create your own' ecommerce solution and in turn control both which substrates where offered on a particular site but also offer different pricing structures and size options for the sites. Basically they could completely tailor the site to their client's requirements, both in product offering and of course appearance & design.

This had been a feature of the previous Eyecandyshop website, but was nowhere near as sophisticated. The new platform went live in mid 2009 and by the end of 2009 had numerous shops running off it, including shops for household names, such as Corel and Moonpig.

Along with the suzuki website, John Carr also wanted an online shop to provide a route to market for his extensive range of motorcycle accessories sold via his premises.

The shop contains hundreds of items for just about everything a biker could possibly want from helmets, tools, accessories to cleaning products.

As with all our ecommerce systems, it features tight integration with Google Analytics allowing John to view details stats about traffic on the site and run detailed ecommerce reports. The card payments are processed in real time and all invoices and order confirmations are generated as PDF files.

John Carr approached UK Websystems to develop a website for their new Suzuki franchise. We already had the comprehensive eCarsUK system which had been rolled out to a number of motortraders successfully and it was easily adapted for bikes, which resulted in the launch of eBikesUK.

As with the eCarsUK websites, the stock is managed via the administration website, enabling quick and easy update of bike information and photos for used bikes.

Trinity Motors Home Page
Trinity Motors Home Page
Trinity motors are a multi franchise dealer group located in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Their previous website had lasted a few years and was showing its age. The used car system on the site was also badly conceived and didn't offer a visitor a positive experience at all.

Trinity Motors were the first UK Websystems client to use our new eCarsUK platform. Specifically designed with motor traders in mind, this platform allows us to offer motor traders websites with news articles, information on current manufacturer ranges and a powerful used car search system all in one solution. The news and manufacturer detail pages are maintained by UK Websystems, so there is no extra editorial overhead for these.

The used car stock list is pulled in from Autolocate every day and all Trinity need to do is email the photos to a specific email address and the eCarsUK system does the rest. It is also completely spiderable by search engines thanks to its design.

When oil tank supplier, The Derwent Group, wanted to venture into the world of online sales, UK Websystems' award winning eCommerce solution was selected. The site features our standard eCommerce solution, which integrates into Protx to provide real-time credit card processing facilities and our own PDF engine which results in the customers receiving high quality PDF order confirmations and Invoices automatically by email.

The online shop is maintained entirely by Derwent, they have full control over adding new products or making changes to existing products online via the specially written administration website.

Also available are a multitude of administration reports to allow them to view orders and product page view counts so that they can monitor, in detail the traffic going through their shop.

All of this is standard with the UK Websystems eCommerce Solution.

Added onto that, the website has its own News story administration system, allowing them to add new news items at any time which automatically maintains the RSS feed for the news articles from the website.

SteveAndKerrie.co.uk

Steve & Kerrie's Big Day
Steve & Kerrie's Big Day
This is a personal website developed by our Managing Director for himself and his wife, to celebrate their wedding. It was designed and produced using our standard platform framework, to allow the ease of maintenance. The theme of the wedding was a formal, black cocktail dress and suit dinner party and this was reflected in the design of the website.

XPart Accessories Online Shop Home Page

XPart is part of the multinational, blue chip company, Caterpillar Inc.. XPart sell parts and accessories for MG and Rover cars, along with a growing 'All Makes' brand of accessories. Their website is multifaced and the largest website project undertaken by UK Websystems to date. Currently phase one is live, which is the Dealer Extranet. The dealers can login and view communications and other dealer-only material online and download it to their computer. This was soon expanded to offer an online shop, selling Accessories for MG and Rover vehicles, along with selected All Makes products. The administration website for this project was completely re-written to support multiple user accounts, along with a full user permissions system. This allows XPart to create new user accounts and limit what those users can view, edit and delete within the administration website.

In addition, the website supports multiple languages, both on the dealer website (as dealers are spread throughout Europe) and within the online shop. The online shop underwent heavy revision and updates both on the public side and the administration side, mainly due to the features required for the shop and also to integrate changes in eCommerce technology and practices over the past year. This online shop became the forerunner of UK Websystems' flagship eCommerce solution, eShopsUK.

HedKandi Gallery Home Page

The Eyecandy Gallery is a sister company of our of our existing clients, eyecandyshop. The gallery is a joint collaboration with the World renowned photographic agency, REX Features. They offer collections of limited edition canvas prints from the immense archives of REX Features. Launched in December 2004 with the 'Best Of British' collection at a packed Exposure Gallery in London's west end, the website was designed to be reminiscent of an art gallery where people can walk around and have a look at the pictures on the wall.

Our designers took this concept and converted into a striking website design. The website uses a pre-runner to the eShopsUK platform, our comprehensive eCommerce Solution. And also features the MultiShop Feature that EyeCandy have full utilised.

EyeCandyGallery director Mark Blackburn was overjoyed, "Its everything I envisaged, the website really manages to convey the product in the best possible way online. Visitors to the website can really see connect with the product and the 3D design used helps to give the canvases depth. Its very hard to get the ‘wow’ factor from a canvas online as opposed to if the canvas was hanging on the wall in front of you, however that’s precisely what we’ve achieved with this website".

To replace to their existing site, Berkshire based Eyecandyshop limited selected UK Websystems to develop a completely new website allowing them to offer their 'Create Your Own service' completely online for the first time. Eyecandyshop, via its website sells high quality photograph prints, printed onto Canvas, Perspex or Framed photographic paper. We've seen the products they sell and its simply stunning, photos of them simply don't do them justice. The website is powered by a sophisticated online shop, written in PHP, together with mySQL handling the database back end. All the preview images of the canvases, perspex frames and framed prints were all generated by UK Websystems' graphic designers using advanced Photoshop techniques. These procedures have been automated meaning that the task of generating a set of 3 preview images (left, centre and right) takes about 5 minutes, instead of 30mins it previously took.

Taken WithOut Consent (TWOC)

Twoc.co.uk is a website aimed at combating the sale of stolen cars by encouraging people to report thier car's details with the website should it be stolen. They want to try to give the general public another way to check if that vehicle they wish to purchase, is a stolen one or not. Its another check, another way to stop you making a very costly mistake. In the eyes of the law, if you purchase a stolen vehicle, there is very little that can be done for you in financial consideration.

The website was created from the ground up to replace their existing website and features a fully database backed website with searchable list of reported thefts, news letter generation and automatic updates by email for registered members. It also includes a fully featured administration website for the website operators to maintain the database of stolen vehicles, create new newsletters, update user information, add new news stories and update any content on the pages within the website. The aim, as with all the websites we produce, is to empower the operator with the tools to make updating their website as easy and straightforward as possible.
