John Carr approached UK Websystems to develop a website for their
new Suzuki franchise. We already had the comprehensive eCarsUK system
which had been rolled out to a number of motortraders successfully and
it was easily adapted for bikes, which resulted in the launch of
eBikesUK.
Jon Carr wanted the website to reflect the styling of the main Suzuki off road website, so we used that site to act as inspiration for his ow. The home page prominently features the Suzuki Off Road range of motorbikes with links next to each one for more info. This content is built up automatically by the website, so as the stock changes, bikes come and go, John Carr can add / remove bikes as required through the administration website and teh front page automatically reorganises itself.
Each new model also has an information page, this again is edited through the administration website and the website then builds the page up from the information entered. The photo gallery is also easily managed through the administration website, allowing John Carr to add more photos as they want.
The used bikes page is powered using the same technology we developed for our successful eCarsUK system. This enables customers to quickly see the stock they have available and provides easy one click access to further details and photos for each bike. Again, the photos are handled easily by the system, taking any size photo and automatically resizing and padding with white space if required so they conform to the standard photo size.
This saves the client time as they do not need to mess around in Photoshop or similar to resize the image to the size the website wants. You simply upload the photo from the camera and the website takes care of the rest! Which also includes automatically generating all the smaller versions of the images the website uses.
As with the eCarsUK websites, the stock is managed via the administration website, enabling quick and easy update of bike information and photos for used bikes.
